The new Grand i10 made its global unveil in Paris in October 2016 and within 4 months of its global unveil the car will make its launch in India.
The facelift version to be launched in India will come with some cosmetic tweaks and the latest iteration of its new face gives it a bit aggressive appearance. It will feature new front and rear bumper, a new front grille integrated with daytime running lights and new tail lamps. Inside, the Grand i10 facelift will get minor interior changes and could an updated infotainment system with navigation.
Hyundai sold a total of 97,292 units of its existing Grand i10 between period April - November 2016 period in the domestic market and with this update model, it is expected to increase the market share starting next financial year. The Korean brand has come with the facelift of the car in India much before its rival Maruti Suzuki’s new generation Swift that will give it a initial boost in sales in the first quarter of FY 2018.
Under the hood, the Grand i10 facelift will be powered like the ongoing model and would be available in both petrol and diesel engine options, - a 1.2-litre Kappa petrol engine and a 1.1-litre U2 diesel unit. The transmission options would also be the same.
The Grand i10 would compete with the likes of Chevrolet Beat, Ford Figo, Maruti Swift and Fiat Punto in the Indian market.Last modified on 04/01/2017
